The Junior Barista contributes to Starbucks success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. The Junior Barista provides customers a Starbucks experience by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance by communicating them to the supervisor
  • Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer; Discovers and responds to customer needs
  • Assists in new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standards
  • Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and guest service skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training
  • Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
