Job description

Our client is a recognized top workplace employer and healthcare leader. We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Financial Revenue Analyst to lead financial closing processes, mentor junior staff, and provide critical data insights that drive informed decision-making. This newly created role reports to the Head of Net Revenue and will focus on analyzing net patient revenue, contractual allowances, and accounts receivable.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who understands the intersection of the healthcare revenue cycle and reimbursement. Relevant revenue operations experience and proficiency with Kodiak Solutions (Crowe Revenue Cycle Analytics) is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Financial Close: Drive the monthly close process, ensuring data accuracy, preparing trend models, and researching rate variances.
  • Strategic Analysis: Interpret complex financial data to identify trends for management; contribute to accounting reserve methodologies.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with finance executives and departments across the company to support cross-functional projects and software implementations.
  • Reporting: Prepare essential schedules for external auditors and Managed Care contract performance reports.
  • Lead & Mentor: Serve as a subject matter expert and preceptor for the net revenue team.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics. CPA, MBA or Master’s degree preferred..
  • 7+ years in healthcare Revenue Operations, including Net Revenue and a deep understanding of revenue accounting and Commercial & Government reimbursement structures.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kodiak Solutions (Crowe Revenue Cycle Analytics) is strictly required.
  • Able to work in a hybrid role. Must reside in the Houston, TX metro area for hybrid work (standard onsite day is Wednesday) and be available for onsite needs on short notice.
  • Client has a tobacco-free hiring policy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Lawson accounting software.
  • Proficient with current government / commercial reimbursement and regulatory changes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicates with team members.
