Soltage - Junior Asset Manager
Company Overview:
Soltage is a leader in the development, financing, and operation of distributed-scale solar and storage assets for commercial, industrial, municipal, and utility customers across the United States. Soltage has developed more than 150 solar energy projects to date, with more than 600 MW total distributed generating capacity in operation or under construction and invested over $1.7 billion to date into the US clean energy sector.

Position Description:
Soltage is seeking an entry-level candidate to join a fast-growing solar distributed generation company as a key member of the asset management team. The Junior Asset Manager will have responsibility for assisting in the management of the ongoing operations of portfolios of solar projects and monitoring their financial and operational performance. The Junior Asset Manager will also support the portfolio management leadership in administering complex financing structures, investor reporting, budgeting, and the sale of environmental commodities.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage the performance of Soltageโ€™s assets across multiple states.
  • Generate accurate, high-quality data to prepare asset management reports.
  • Generate and distribute invoices; manage cross-functionality with accounts payable.
  • Assist in the creation, tracking, and monitoring of project budgets.
  • Support generation reporting and maintain precise operational records.
  • Manage relationships with contract counterparties and ensure timely, clear communication.
  • Present written and oral updates on operating projects and performance results.
  • Utilize the Soltage asset-management software platform to access, retrieve and report on data.
  • Develop a working understanding of electricity markets and project structures (tax equity, partnership flips, inverted leases, non-recourse debt).
  • Conduct financial analysis for solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong reliability and a proactive approach to supporting team objectives.
  • Demonstrated interest in renewable energy through work experience, projects, or coursework.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Superior listening, critical thinking, and writing and presentation skills.
