Job description

Job Title: Junior Buyer Location: Channelview, Texas Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $35 - $37.50 hourly Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0

Overview We are seeking a Junior Buyer to join our client’s team on a long-term contract-to-hire basis. This critical role will support procurement activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in managing sourcing, purchasing, and vendor relationships to support production goals. Responsibilities: • Execute purchasing activities for materials, components, and services to support manufacturing operations • Work within ERP systems to manage procurement processes • Analyze purchasing data, costs, and supplier performance using analytical and financial tools • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials • Maintain strong vendor relationships and support sourcing strategies

Requirements • 1-5 years of buying experience, with strong preference for manufacturing procurement • Exposure to ERP systems a plus • Strong understanding of procurement processes and manufacturing operations • Proficient in analytical tools and basic financial reporting • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
