JUNIOR ASSOCIATE
The Lee & Associates Atlanta Junior Associate Program is an established training process that immerses new agents in all aspects of commercial real estate, including: research, market studies, legal agreements, property tours and cold calling, business development, and space planning. Our 6- to 12-month program provides top-performing Junior Associates with all the necessary tools to become successful commercial real estate agents.
REPORTS TO: Chief Data Officer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Assist in preparation of timely, quarterly market research reports/market summaries
  • Search media sites for articles of interest
  • Develop and maintain the tenant, comparable, development and pipeline database/spreadsheets for internal specialty groups
  • Researching economic databases and forecasts (market trends, metro employment stats, economic indicators relevant to presentation)
  • Run CoStar/LoopNet/Comparable/Ownership searches as needed
  • Participate in a ride-along with Principals throughout the training program
  • Shadow agents on property tours and presentations
  • Attend all broker open houses
  • Assist with custom broker projects as needed
  • Marketing presentations, tour packages, due diligence material, BOVs, etc.
  • Learning about Real Estate, Legal Agreements
  • Developing role-play and presentation skills

EDUCATIONAL TASKS:
  • Participate in database training
  • Learn the art of sale presentation and cold-calling techniques
  • Participate in online or in-person training weekly
  • Attend planning commission and city council meetings if required
  • Improve upon personal interaction skills weekly
  • Understand terms and concepts of product types
  • Attend all training classes as required
  • Attend all agent and specialty meetings and deal-making sessions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in real estate, business, marketing or related field (Required)
  • Real Estate License (Required)
  • Prior sales experience (1-3 years) (Preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic
  • Possess the desire to learn the commercial real estate industry
  • Capability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to collaborate with the team in a positive/professional manner
  • Possess strong communication and listening skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Ability to work independently and produce quality work with little direction
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
