About the Job
 

Job duties 

The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities occasionally needs to hire employees on a temporary basis throughout the year. These positions perform a variety of non-academic and/or academic work responsibilities on a temporary work schedule, as defined below:

Limited to 67 or fewer days of work in a calendar year.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
(50%) Collaborate with departmental faculty and/or staff to facilitate ongoing projects
(50%) Gather and analyze data

This does not constitute a posting for vacancies but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during FY27 (July 2026 - June 2027). Applicants will be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis. Appointments are based on need, funding, and performance.

Qualifications
 

Required qualifications

  • High school or one year relevant experience
  • Educational credentials, work experience, and/or certifications in specific area/field that do not exceed those of comparable UMN job classifications. Qualifications determined by supervisor in consultation with Human Resources.
