Job description

A.H. Moyer, Inc. is a full service Mechanical Contractor that performs HVAC, Plumbing and Excavation work for both residential and commercial customers. We are seeking a Commercial Jobsite Superintendent to join our team. This position is ideal for someone that is experienced in mechanical construction including both plumbing and HVAC construction in a commercial environment. You will be in charge of overseeing jobsites with a crew of 3-8 employees, coordinating installation of work, preparing material lists for order, and coordinating with other trades and owners

Work Location: In person

Duties

  • Installation of plumbing systems. Including domestic piping, sanitary piping, and gas piping.
  • Installation of plumbing fixtures and equipment. Including toilets, faucets, water heaters, sump pumps and sewage pumps.
  • Installation of HVAC systems. Including sheet metal duct, hydronic piping, boilers, air handlers, rooftop air handlers and chillers.
  • Be able to lead a team of 3-8 employees and designate tasks.
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints and technical product information.
  • Coordinate work with other trades, owners, engineers and architects and be able to communicate with them effectively.
  • Provide daily updates on job status and any foreseen obstacles with the Project Manager.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites and work vehicle.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.

By 1969, Adam H. Moyer was ready to venture into his own Plumbing and Heating business. He had been working for a local Plumber named Henry Schell, enjoying the work but all the while having a desire to make it on his own. That year he took the plunge, hiring one employee and doing all the purchasing, billing and estimating himself, while working long hours in the field. Out of those humble beginnings emerged one of the most respected and successful plumbing and heating operations in Lebanon County. Built on the foundation of a strong work ethic and integrity, A.H. Over the years, A.H. Moyer, Inc. has grown into a company that employs 25-30 people, including our field staff of plumbers, HVAC technicians, heavy equipment operators, pipe fitters, and electricians. In addition, the office staff is responsible for payroll, accounts payable and receivable, estimating, project management, and service dispatching. Our client list ranges from local homeowners to municipalities, school districts, colleges and hospitals (and many others). One of the things that sets A.H. Moyer, Inc. apart from the rest is the diversity of our capabilities. Unlike many of our competitors, we have the equipment and expertise to perform our own excavation. We also have electricians on staff to support our mechanical installations and complete residential and light commercial electrical service and installation.
