Shimizu North America is seeking an experienced Scheduler to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules for complex design and construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope by coordinating with project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders. Responsibilities for this position and the required skills are listed below.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and manage detailed design and construction schedules from project initiation through completion
  • Coordinate with project teams to gather inputs, constraints, track progress, and identify potential delays
  • Perform schedule analysis including but not limited to critical path method (CPM) and risk assessment
  • Monitor project milestones and provide regular monthly reports and 6-week lookahead schedules to stakeholders
  • Identify schedule risks and work with project teams to propose and implement mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Review schedules submitted by architects, engineers, and subcontractors and integrate them into the master schedule
  • Support project teams with planning, sequencing, and resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of schedule changes and impacts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scheduler for Industrial and Manufacturing or Commercial construction projects
  • Expertise with cost loading and resource loading schedules
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 required
  • General knowledge or project controls and reporting
