Job Description

The Position:  The Inventory Clerk manages incoming and outgoing supplies and products within Business Information Systems.  The Inventory Clerk ensures the inventory remains in balance, restocks supplies, assists in maintaining inventory records, and provides client and co-worker assistance as necessary. 

Responsible for:

         Receiving shipments, serializing all incoming parts including placing a BIS serial number sticker on the item; entering the manufacturer's serial number in Navision; posting the Purchase Order in Navision

         Pulling requested stock and recording and filing all incoming and outgoing equipment used on service orders

         Staging and preparing all sales orders for delivery; communicating with Team Leaders when orders are completely staged and ready to go and shipping/ posting completed sales orders in Navision

         Communicate with purchasing agent on quantities of stock for reordering purposes

         Participate in the year-end inventory count of all BIS material, both internal and external, including running reports for the different areas, thoroughly inventorying each workstation

         Assist and fill in for the Purchasing Agent as needed

         Other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications

Acquired knowledge/education/experience/expertise in Inventory operations.  Good organizational, customer service, communication, and detailed oriented skills are a must.  Ability to use inventory control software.  Ability to lift 10 to 40 pounds frequently, up to 70 pounds occasionally.
