Job Description

This is a remote position.

Paradigm is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support our client, a growing technology and e-commerce company with domestic and international operations.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused primarily on litigation management, risk and regulatory compliance, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is a practical, collaborative attorney who provides a high level of service, communicates effectively with legal and non-legal stakeholders, and can independently manage priorities within a team environment.

The company is open to candidates currently working as Corporate Counsel, Assistant Corporate Counsel, or in a similar in-house or law firm position. Direct technology, e-commerce, international trade, or sanctions experience is helpful but not required. Strong judgment, initiative, and the ability to learn is more important than industry-specific experience.

Pay Rate: $125,000–$150,000 annually

Location: Remote within the United States

  • Partner with internal teams to develop fair, practical, and legally sound resolutions to customer issues.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts and business agreements.
  • Provide legal guidance involving corporate governance, employment matters, privacy, intellectual property, real estate, and general business operations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written recommendations, opinions, and guidance for management.
  • Assist with maintaining corporate entities, licenses, resolutions, operating agreements, and legal records.
  • Support the development and improvement of company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.
Requirements
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission and good standing with a U.S. state bar.
  • Experience supporting litigation, dispute resolution, risk management, regulatory compliance.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently while working collaboratively with a broader team.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and the ability to build productive relationships across an organization.
  • Practical judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with customer and business needs.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively in fast-moving or ambiguous situations.
  • Willingness to obtain bar admission in Florida, Oregon, California, Texas, or Delaware if required.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience working as in-house counsel, assistant corporate counsel, or in a similar corporate legal role.
  • Experience managing outside counsel and litigation budgets.
  • Familiarity with trade compliance, governmental sanctions, privacy, consumer protection, or licensing requirements.
  • Experience supporting a company with operations in multiple states or countries.
