Job description

Catering Coordinator

Organizational Imperatives 

The factors that define and truly differentiate this position from all other positions; what absolute, unique things should this position fulfill that no other does 

1. Execution of Catering Orders

2. Coordination and upkeep of all Catering related items

Responsibilities Representing our brand
  • Be a brand ambassador 
  • Embody our organization’s core values
  • Help the organization execute the Winning Hearts Every Day strategy through catering
  • Create, maintain and develop relationships with team members, leaders and guests that align with our values, vision and strategy
Training 
  • Creating, maintaining and developing plans to train people on the following:
  • Catering prep (box meals, sauces, paper goods, etc.)
  • Catering checklists 
  • Ringing in, suggestive selling, and tendering Catering orders
  • Coordinate with scheduler to provide training as needed
Leadership Skills
  • Provide complete buy-in to the vision set forth in the restaurant by the Operator 
  • Have a forward thinking mentality to stay ahead and not react to the business
  • Setting monthly and quarterly S.M.A.R.T. catering execution goals
Operations and Administrative Time
  • 20 hours of Operations
  • 6 hours of prep time
  • 3 hours of confirming and updating spreadsheet
  • 1 hour of organizing and upkeep of Catering equipment
  • Take deliveries as needed
Success Factors and Matching Measurements 

We will know the Catering Coordinator is successful upon attaining the following:  

  • There is no breakdown of execution in catering process (measured daily)
  • Positive feedback from guests on timeliness, service and quality of food (measured weekly)
  • Positive feedback from leaders on communication and readiness of Catering orders (measured monthly)
Behavioral Characteristics 

The Catering Coordinator should:  

  • Have a commitment to personal and professional growth
  • Embody the values and vision of the restaurant and create the filter for all decisions to be ran through our vision and the WHED strategy
  • Must stay up-to-date on all communication channels (Slack, email, etc.) 
  • Find ways to innovate and improve on our execution of catering orders
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent time management and time sensitivity skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, follow through and communication skills
