Job description:

Sponge-Jet is looking for a reliable, motivated, and mechanically-oriented person who has an interest in assembling large mission-critical industrial equipment. While assembly work is a large part of the job, it’s the range of equipment – the size and complexity - pneumatic to electronic - that makes this role far from mundane. It’s ideal for those who want to work in all phases of industrial manufacturing, in search of continuous development and a long and prosperous career in manufacturing.


Responsibilities:

Performs a combination of production assembly tasks. Assembling parts to from complete units to subassemblies on the Manufacturing floor.

  • Assembles and manufactures Sponge-Jet equipment and products.
  • Tests and documents results of Sponge-Jet products.
  • Verifies BOM and inventory accuracy.
  • Correlates information on equipment and products for the use by other departments.
  • From work instructions, assembles a variety of parts; exercising care in fitting and aligning to maintain proper tolerances and accuracy of assembly.
  • Assists sales with equipment and product demonstrations.
  • Uses hand tools; operates small power tools and other special equipment.
  • Detects and reports defective materials, or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Performs manual maintenance on rental equipment and the facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge on how to use and work with hand tools and power tools.
  • Can handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
  • Ability to learn and perform repetitive job tasks.
  • Displays original thinking and generates creative solutions
  • Able to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Promotes an environment without harassment or undue stress.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English.
