Inventory Receiver

ABOUT US

We specialize in interior warehouse outfitting for some of the world's largest retailers.

THE POSITION

We are seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals to perform the role of Inventory Receiver for large commercial projects. GEBM Inventory Receivers work together with a GEBM Project Manager and other on- site crew members to track hundreds of shipments of inbound materials from multiple domestic manufacturing facilities and numerous third-party vendor facilities to the project site.

The Inventory Receiver is responsible for completing processes that ensure inventory accuracy, effective inbound inventory control and audit-activated activities continue to support shipping and receiving requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Below is a list of primary responsibilities an Inventory Receiver would expect in their day-to-day. It is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.   • Inventory management: An Inventory Receiver’s primary responsibilities would be to receive and add goods into our client’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) inventory system. This will include 3-way matching of shipping documentation against Purchase Orders in a proprietary database and researching missing items and shipments. GEBM Inventory Receivers must be self-motivated, fast- paced, honest, and have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem solving: GEBM Inventory Receivers are expected to apply a proactive approach in routinely tracking all aspects of the warehouse inventory progress. Problem-solving and resolution efforts should be paired with appropriate escalation of current or potential issues.
  • Responsibility and focus: We expect all GEBM team members to serve as a GEBM ambassador, behaving professionally and responsibly for all your personal actions and work-related obligations. Reporting to work on time, staying on-task, and always being focused on customer service and satisfaction are a daily priority.
  • Embrace a team environment: Additional responsibilities of a GEBM Inventory Receiver will be to support the GEBM Project Manager on-site with other related tasks, such as, but not limited to, managing the material flow, coordinating shipment and delivery dates, assisting with related inquiries and other site tasks.
ARE YOU WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

Qualified applicants should hold the following:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in data entry or logistics planning/operations
  • Ability to use a ten (10) key data entry method and proficient at managing inventory and maintaining inventory accounts
  • Possess superior task, resource and time management abilities
  • Exemplary problem-solving skills that help to identify defects and shortcomings
  • Ability to communicate business-related and general information efficiently in verbal and written formats
  • Excellent math, organizational, and computer skills required (MS Outlook, MS Word, Advanced user of Excel)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates will have at least five (5) years of experience in ERP specific data entry, logistics planning/operations management or software-based inventory management
  • Associate degree in a logistics, operations, or business-related field
  • Previous knowledge of any the following: inventory management, order scheduling, logistics and transportation, enterprise level data entry
  • Active industry certifications for OSHA 10, AWP, warehouse/industrial forklift and/or scissor lift preferred, but not required
THE LOCATION

Travel is 100% required. Work sites are out-of-state and at the request of our clients. Inventory Receivers should expect to be away from home up to three (3) months at a time. GEBM covers all travel costs for flights, lodging, rental cars.

Team members should expect to be scheduled for work as per client/customer needs. This may include work weeks more than forty (40) hours, weekend and/or overnight shifts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear and speak. They may be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions. Noise levels may be high when operating power equipment. Employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to sixty (60) pounds and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee is required to use properly use such safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.

COMPENSATION AND PAYROLL SCHEDULE

The Inventory Receiver position is an hourly non-exempt position. GEBM operates on a weekly pay schedule and adheres to all local and federal tax policies. Team members are also eligible for a per diem when located and present at on-site (away from home) projects.
