Job description

RF-SMART Functional Analyst / Administrator 

We are seeking a highly capable RF-SMART Functional Analyst to support, administer, and enhance our warehouse and inventory operations within the JD Edwards (JDE) ecosystem. This role bridges business operations and technology, focusing on RF-SMART configuration, workflow optimization, and user support, while leveraging foundational JDE knowledge.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, process-oriented, and comfortable owning RF-SMART administration, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

RF-SMART Administration & Configuration

  • Administer and maintain RF-SMART environments (user setup, security, device configuration). 
  • Configure RF-SMART workflows including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory movements, and cycle counting. 
  • Customize RF-SMART forms, menus, and business logic to align with operational requirements. 
  • Support RF device setup (handheld scanners, printers) and troubleshoot connectivity/performance issues. 

JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Support

  • Work within JDE modules such as Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Procurement. 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot integration points between RF-SMART and JDE. 
  • Support UAT, deployments, and system changes impacting warehouse operations. 

Process Improvement & Workflow Optimization

  • Partner with warehouse and operations teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions. 
  • Design and implement improved RF workflows to increase accuracy and throughput. 
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system configurations. 
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives. 

Support & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for RF-SMART-related issues. 
  • Diagnose and resolve functional and basic technical issues in a timely manner. 
  • Coordinate with IT, developers, and vendors when escalation is required. 
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues. 
 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with RF-SMART (or similar warehouse mobility solutions). 
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE), especially Inventory and Warehouse processes. 
  • Experience configuring RF workflows and supporting warehouse operations. 
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes (receiving, picking, shipping, inventory control). 
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional/system issues and translate business needs into system solutions. 
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RF-SMART forms customization and advanced configuration. 
  • Familiarity with JDE E1 tools, tables, and data structures. 
  • Experience with barcoding, label printing, and RF hardware. 
  • Exposure to SQL, reporting tools, or integrations is a plus. 
  • Experience supporting go-lives or system implementations.
