Job description

JBA has an opening in downtown Los Angeles with a law firm specializing in employee rights, seeks an Associate Attorney for the employment department. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of Employment litigation experience, performing the following tasks:
  • Attending depositions
  • Assisting the senior attorneys with trial prep
  • Making court appearances
  • Law and Motion writing
  • Trial and Arbitration
  • Legal writing and research
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Summarizing and/or propounding discovery
  • Drafting notices and objections
  • Interacting with clients

Required qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Employment Law experience
  • Trial and Arbitration experience
  • Strong legal research and analysis
  • General knowledge of California Civil Procedure
  • Experience drafting and responding to discovery
  • Legal writing experience
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to commute daily to DTLA

Salary range: $125,000 to $175,000 based on experience + Percentage of attorney fees recovered (potentially worth six figures) + End-of-year discretionary annual bonus.
