The Inventory Control and Indirect Material Buyer role, located in Concord, will be responsible for analyzing MRO requirements and executing the quoting, buying, and planning of materials to support internal and external customers, additionally responsible for maintaining cycle count activities to maintain inventory accuracy levels. The role will work with multiple vendors and internal teams to deliver high-quality products on time for customer orders.
What You'll Do
  • Quoting
    • Support processing Quotes for new and existing business as required in the queue and by commodity.
    • Select appropriate vendors based on the Vendor capability matrix to ensure best vendors are quoting.

  • Indirect Material Planning
    • Performs day-to-day reviews of Kanban programs and purchasing activities based upon indirect material alignment to Kanban levels.
    • Ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods
    • Acquire appropriate approvals for and procure manufacturing and engineering materials, tooling and equipment to support NBO and operations.
    • Contact Suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
    • Update system with Suppliers confirming ship dates and latest delivery dates.

  • Inventory Cycle Counts
    • Generate reports to identify items schedule for required cycle count activities within a designated period.
    • Conduct cycle counts of identified parts and present recorded results to Warehouse Supervisor or designate.
    • Conduct cycle recounts of identified parts requested Supply Chain Manager or Warehouse Supervisor to validate results of initial count accuracy.
    • Support root cause analysis investigation for inventory inaccuracies.

  • Other duties as assigned.
