Job Description

We are seeking an experienced JAVA developer which will be responsible for the design, build, test, implementation and production support phases for technical tasks while ensuring the quality of deliverables in terms of supporting requirements analysis and the technical architecture.

  • Create technical specification documents based on the business requirements
  • Develop code that meets the client's coding standards and guidelines
  • Work in Agile or Waterfall development environment and should be able to respond to changes quickly
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to application development teams throughout all the phases of the SDLC
  • Ensures that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements
  • Support QA testing and UAT
  • Work with the QA/user team to address the defects logged on the integrated code Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

This position requires an individual with exceptional analytical and technical skills as well as outstanding communications skills (verbal and written), meeting facilitation skills, highly accomplished personal organizational skills and big picture view to drive business solutions. The ideal candidate will also have Guidewire experience as well as experience working with Insurance Claims systems.


Required Qualifications: 3+ years of overall development experience with at least 3 years of experience in Java/J2EE technology Strong object-oriented design skills and programming experience Solid understanding of Java/J2EE Experience developing object-orientated applications in Java Experience with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, XML, XSD, XSLT, etc. Experience using one or more of the following frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF

  • Experience with web application servers (Tomcat/WebSphere/WebLogic)
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and both SOAP and REST
