Job description
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist other application engineers and perform failure analysis on bearing products as assigned
- Participate in on site customer visits with other application engineers to give support for specific applications / product installation and maintenance / troubleshooting
- Attend training schools for our bearing products and applications to distributors
- Assist in the competitor benchmarking test plan creation and development of new/modified/improved technologies aimed at our bearing products
- Assist in the design of test machines and procedures of benchmark testing
- Supports product analysis during and after NPD or benchmark testing
- Support in updating engineering technical information related to catalogs, brochures and website data
- Assist in solving routine problems with an aptitude for basic problem-solving skills
- Supports product engineering projects
- Complete other projects as identified in co-op project plan
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Ability to adjust to varying priorities and project lists
- CAD skills preferred (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro-E, Solid Edge)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Technically inclined with a preferred hands-on ability
- Verbal and written communication and presentation skills with all levels of employees, management and customers
