Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an onsite, in person full, time position.


We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Coordinator to join our dynamic HR team. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and will assist in the smooth management of employee data, compliance with employment laws, and effective communication across departments.

The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and passionate about fostering a positive workplace environment. Must be fluent in English (spoken and written) and able to speak Spanish conversationally to effectively communicate with team members. Knowledge of the Portuguese language is a plus. Your efforts will directly support talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational growth.


Duties:

  • Assist the Human Resource Director with coordinating the talent acquisition processes including recruiting, resume screening, phone interviewing, and onboarding new employees through ATS like Higherme.
  • Assist with administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, and retirement plans using platforms like Guideline or Gusto
  • Ability to assist in processing payroll
  • Ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations including OSHA standards and FMLA requirements.
  • Assist with employee relations issues with professionalism, to resolve concerns effectively.
  • Administrative duties as needed


Skills:

  • Knowledge of human resources management practices and labor law compliance.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and platforms
  • Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with employees at all levels and external partners.
  • Proven project management abilities to assist with coordinating multiple HR initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Skilled in benefits administration, workforce management, data collection/reporting techniques.
  • This position requires someone who is bilingual and speaks Spanish. Knowledge of Portuguese is also a plus.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry and or restaurants will be helpful in this role.
