**Position Overview**

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Manager in Corporate Tax to lead our corporate tax practice. This senior-level role offers strategic influence, thought leadership, and the opportunity to shape our tax advisory direction while managing a portfolio of key clients. You will drive client strategy, oversee complex engagements, mentor managers and staff, and leverage our alliance network for sophisticated tax solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead and direct corporate tax engagements; oversee planning, execution, and delivery of tax advisory services.

* Manage relationships with key clients; identify upsell opportunities and drive business development.

* Develop innovative tax strategies for complex situations; provide executive-level tax advice to business leaders.

* Supervise and mentor managers, senior staff, and junior professionals; foster a culture of excellence and professional growth.

* Conduct high-level tax research and analysis; provide thought leadership on emerging tax issues.

* Collaborate with and coordinate alliance partners on complex, specialized, or cross-border tax matters.

* Represent the firm at industry events and with clients; contribute to firm strategy and practice development.

* Travel to client sites and branch offices as needed (approximately 3–4 times annually).

**Qualifications & Experience**

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.

* Minimum 8+ years of corporate tax experience.

Fluent in both Japanese and English

* Extensive expertise in corporate tax strategy, planning, compliance, and advisory services.

* Proven track record of managing large, complex engagements and leading high-performing teams.

* Strong technical mastery of federal and state tax law; experience with mid-market and upper-market clients.

* Excellent client relationship and business development skills.

* Proficiency with tax software, MS Office, and enterprise accounting systems.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Big 4 or national accounting firm background.

* Partnership-track experience or equivalent leadership position.

* Tax audit, IRS representation, or controversy experience.

* Advanced degree (Master's in Taxation, MBA, or similar).

* Experience managing tax practice operations or P&L responsibility.

**Compensation & Work Arrangement**

* Salary: $140,000–$200,000 (commensurate with experience and background).

* Full remote work option; relocation not required.
