Job description

Japanese Bilingual Nurse Practitioner – Part-Time
Japanese / English

Location: Torrance, CA
Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 20 hours per week
Pay: $80–$90/hour
Position Overview

A community-focused medical clinic serving a large Japanese-speaking patient population is seeking an experienced Bilingual Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its team on a part-time basis.
The NP will provide primary care services to patients while working closely with physicians and clinical staff. This position is ideal for a compassionate provider who values patient-centered care and is comfortable communicating with patients in both Japanese and English.
Schedule

Preferred schedule:
  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Approximately 20 hours per week
Candidates who are unable to work all three days may still be considered; however, availability on Wednesday and Friday mornings is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services within the NP's authorized scope of practice
  • Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations
  • Evaluate and manage common acute and chronic health conditions
  • Develop and communicate appropriate treatment and follow-up plans
  • Order and review diagnostic tests as appropriate
  • Prescribe medications within applicable scope of practice and clinic protocols
  • Provide preventive care and patient education
  • Coordinate care and referrals with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with Japanese- and English-speaking patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to support continuity of patient care
Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure
  • Current furnishing/prescribing authority as applicable to the position
  • Japanese and English bilingual communication skills
  • Previous experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or a related clinical setting preferred
  • Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently within applicable scope of practice while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff
  • Strong commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive patient care
Compensation

$80–$90 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
