Job description

Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business that provides a broad range of consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military, and Commercial clients. Services include Management & IT Consulting, Program & Project Management, and Professional & Admin Services.

Arcetyp LLC is looking for a Labor and Delivery RN to support the Government in Japan. This will be an on-site, in-office position with one position located in Yokosuka, Japan.

POSITION DUTIES:
  • The Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery) will provide nursing care to routine and high-risk Obstetrical
    patients including newborns during the transition period within assigned inpatient unit based on relevant
    specialty care standards.
    Work Schedule:
  • Perform approximately 14โ€“17 shifts per month, each lasting 12โ€“16 hours.
  • Rotating day and night shifts on a quarterly basis.
  • Required to notify supervisor and charge nurse promptly in case of illness or emergency.
  • May be required to cover additional shifts due to staffing needs.
  • Maximum of 16 hours per shift or 84 hours within a two-week period.
  • Required participation in on-call duties, including:
    • 24-hour call every other week.
    • Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes if called in.
    • On-call compensation applies.
  • Required to work federal holidays and non-duty days as scheduled.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Establish priorities of patient care based on triage, nursing diagnosis, essential patient needs and
    outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team in assessing the effectiveness of existing therapies and
    interventions for patients with illnesses, their families and significant others.
  • Apply understanding and operation of specialty equipment. Maintain a safe patient care
    environment. Monitor and troubleshoot equipment assuring appropriate patient response. Provide
    intervention when indicated.
  • Ensure upkeep, perform checks and maintain appropriate logs of medical equipment.
    Administer medications and IV therapy employing knowledge of pharmacological agents and
    blood/blood components, their indications, routes of administration, expected actions and potential
    side effects, as related to specific patient population served. Manage complex central and peripheral intravenous lines/infusions.
  • Provide recovery care for post-anesthesia patients following C-Sections, cerclage, tubal ligations, and
    spontaneous pregnancy loss.
  • Serve as a patient advocate and maintain patientโ€™s right to confidentiality. Assist patients, families,
    and significant others in identifying limitations.
  • Provide telephone advice based on clinical knowledge and accepted standards. Assist as needed in
    accessing appropriate ambulatory/emergency care for beneficiaries.
  • Consult and work collaboratively with social work and other ancillary services at the medical center
    and in the community to aid patients in maintaining
