Overview

Lead Plastic Injection Molding

Location: Brenham, TXHours: 7:00 am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. One shift facility

Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Overview

Mechanical Rubber Texas is looking for an experienced Lead Plastic Injection Molding

Operator who can run machines, solve problems on the floor, and help lead a small team. This is a working lead position - you'll be hands-on with setups, mold changes, and troubleshooting while keeping production moving and quality on point.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and run plastic injection molding machines
  • Perform mold changes, startups, and process adjustments
  • Troubleshoot machine, mold, material, and part issues
  • Lead and support operators during daily production
  • Make sure parts meet quality requirements
  • Watch cycle times, scrap, and overall production flow
  • Train operators on proper setup, operation, and safety
  • Work with maintenance and supervisors to fix issues fast
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Complete basic production and quality paperwork
Qualifications
  • What We're Looking For

    • 5+ years of hands-on plastic injection molding experience
    • Previous lead experience or someone ready to step into a lead role
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical ability
    • Comfortable working on the floor and leading by example
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
    • Good communication and a team-first attitude

    Nice to Have

    • Rubber or elastomer molding experience
    • Preventive maintenance experience
