Department: Ambulatory Care Clinics - Adult Primary Care 

Address: 1611 NW 12 Avenue, Miami, FL 33136

Shift Details: 8:00AM-5:00PM, M-F (Very light rotational call)

Position Summary

As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Ambulatory & Physician Services Division is a growing multi-specialty physician network of physicians and specialists who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at many different specialty care centers, seek to hire a primary care physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join our highly regarded multi-specialty practice in our Ambulatory Care Center Clinic at Jackson Memorial Hospital. 

The Primary Care physician is responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the employee clinic/center of responsibility.

  • Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS adult outpatients.
  • Primary Care with average daily patient volume of 18 - 20.
  • Very light rotational call requirements.

Education

Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.

Experience

Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.

License/Certification

  • Valid Florida Medical License.
  • DEA and board certification or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus. 
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
