Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application/Production Support Engineer to support critical GRA portfolios within the ERFT space. The role shall focus on production support, monitoring, incident and problem management, and continuous improvement across shared platforms including Hadoop, Cloud, and Grid. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in SQL, UNIX/Linux, Dynatrace, Splunk, and job scheduling, with the ability to collaborate across infrastructure and development teams and to leverage AI tools for daily work.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve business queries for the ERFT space and manage the user query mailbox.
  • Communicate application health and status to line of business and management and provide timely notifications during incidents.
  • Investigate and improve monitoring, application stability, and time to root cause using Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Work with Technology Infrastructure and Development teams on integrated or independent releases, upgrades, and server changes.
  • Respond to and resolve feed and batch support issues, manage alerts and monitoring, and support job scheduling with Autosys and Bob.
  • Utilize ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, Dynatrace, and Splunk for updates, reporting, and incident management.
  • Document procedures and maintain knowledge artifacts. Coordinate with development teams for resolution and follow-ups.
  • Assist with metrics reporting and perform Business Continuity testing with required documentation.
  • Organize and lead meetings for issue resolution and identify automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of production support experience.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and experience with Oracle or Teradata databases.
  • Strong UNIX/Linux skills with hands-on experience in Grid, Cloud, Containers, and Quartz.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL with focus on Incident and Problem Management and ITSM tools such as Remedy or MyITSM.
  • Experience with monitoring and APM tools including Splunk and Dynatrace and alerting platforms such as ITRS.
  • Job scheduling expertise with Autosys and Bob jobs.
  • Python scripting capability and ability to leverage AI tools in daily work.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology with strong project and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical partners.
  • Ability to work in a multi-regional team and operate under pressure, including rotational stand-by support as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial services experience with knowledge of Treasury and Liquidity business domains.
  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystems and data platforms.
  • Experience with Tableau for reporting and dashboards.
  • Operations exposure with Windows OS.
