Job description

We're hiring a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support safe, accurate, and timely medication distribution within our inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality patient care by assisting pharmacists, maintaining inventory, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. As a vital member of our pharmacy team, you'll help keep medication workflows efficient and compliant.

What You'll DoMedication Preparation & Distribution

Prepare and distribute medications accurately to support patient care Fill patient-specific medications, floor stock, and automated dispensing cabinets Compound sterile IV solutions following USP <797> standards Process outpatient prescriptions and support point-of-sale workflows

Inventory Management & Supply Operations

Maintain medication inventory and monitor drug shortages Process orders using Sentry and Amerisource Passport Complete unit inspections, outdates, and storage compliance tasks Support narcotic handling, documentation, and delivery in accordance with regulations

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

Communicate effectively with nursing, clinical teams, and other departments Respond to phone and in-person requests with professionalism Relay issues requiring pharmacist attention promptly Participate in departmental and hospital committees as needed

Systems & Administration (Cerner, Retail Pharmacy Software, Compliance)

Utilize Cerner and retail pharmacy systems efficiently Document required logs, inspections, and temperature/humidity checks Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential patient information Support Joint Commission and regulatory readiness activities
