Job description

Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and community-focused Primary Care Physician to join our team at IU Health Primary Careโ€“Hartford City. This is an exceptional opportunity for physicians who value strong patient relationships, a supportive rural community, and the stability and resources of Indianaโ€™s largest healthcare system.

Position Highlights
  • Fullโ€‘time, outpatient primary care with 4โ€‘ or 5โ€‘day work week options
  • Quickly build your practice with an established patient base
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including acute and chronic disease management
  • Opportunity to perform screening colonoscopies
  • Ability to perform small office procedures (laceration repair, wart removal, I&D, etc.)
  • Shared afterโ€‘hours call supported by a nurse triage system
  • Access to onโ€‘site and nearby services including outpatient lab, pharmacy, radiology, and physical & occupational therapy
  • Opportunity to teach and mentor residents through the Family Medicine Residency Program at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital
  • Strong team culture focused on quality, patient experience, and provider support
  • Communityโ€‘based practice with the backing of a large, integrated health system

  • Establish and manage a patient panel drawn from Hartford City and surrounding areas
