The Item Processing Specialist is responsible for accurate review of the capture of daily proof work by using FIS application named VisionIP system to enter amounts and balance transactions for items to be posted. Prepare run files to be sent to clearing banks and the Federal Reserve. Proves record of transactions by performing essential duties and responsibilities.


• Use FIS app VisionIP to enter amounts and accounts on items that were not read by the applications.
• Balance transactions within each run for EWB customers.
• Correct all items with rejected fields.
• Accurately locate errors and generate appropriate adjustments and corrections.
• Prepare run files and provide to Computer Operator for transmission.
• Answer proof telephone calls and emails from bank associates to assist with problem solving, as necessary.
• Receive daily courier deliveries for check processing
• Verify coding errors and identify duplicate items.
• Escalate problems to management.
• Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.


  • Read, write and understand the English language.
  • Knowledge of FIS application VisionIP
  • Operational experience within the Financial Industry, a must.
  • Excellent writing/verbal skills.
  • 10-key experience
  • Bilingual Mandarin and/or Cantonese, a plus.

Education Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in Item Processing activities.

Other Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics

  • Basic knowledge of operations, Item Processing, proof and transit
  • Demonstrated clerical, reading, writing and mathematical skills
  • Ability to collect and organize information

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
