General Description of the Role

The HVAC Chiller Service Technician maintains the chiller and HVAC systems for the Lawrenceburg plant.

Mission/Objectives

The HVAC Chiller Service Technician diagnosis, repairs, replaces, and installs all associated components for cooling towers, and chillers. Performs maintenance and service repairs on refrigeration and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

 

  • Monitor and maintain the Chiller system, performing PMs and making programming changes as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain the heating and air conditioning systems in the plant.  Perform PM's and change filters as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, replace ventilation systems (exhaust fans, circulation fans, etc.)
  • Maintain all ice machines, refrigerators, dishwashers and any other appliances on sight.  Work with appropriate internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and/or to resolve quality risks when identified.
  • Adhere to and promote a safe working environment.  This includes keeping all materials, supplies, tools and any other production related items in their place.  Adherence to 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) standards is expected of the operator.
  • Immediately report any safety items related to you or any other employee to your supervisor or any other management representative.  Safety items to be reported include but are not limited to bodily injury, near misses, potential dangers, spills and/or any other accidents.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Comply with all ISO and food safety standards. 
  • Efficiently and effectively input various data in computer (such as material data, environmental control readings), as well as analyzes and utilizes data from computer.
  • Complete/submit repair orders for maintenance work.
  • Make rounds, completes checklists and maintain detailed shift log.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
