Job description

Major Food Group is hiring a friendly, dynamic Doorperson to greet guests dining at Carbone!

Carbone is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century New York. The food nods to that history, but takes its culinary cues from the great talents and techniques of the present and future. Familiar dishes like SEafood Salad, Linguini Vongole, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Chicken Scarpariello and Veal Parmesan elevated to a new level.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets guests outside the restaurant.
  • Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
  • Facilitate the flow of traffic in and out of the restaurant.
  • Engage guests, act as an ambassador of the restaurant in both personality and knowledge.
  • Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
  • Perform some security responsibilities as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-3 years as a Doorperson, or similar role.
  • Previous experience in security, hospitality, or customer service strongly preferred.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred but not required.
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Strong people skills a must.
