YOUR ROLE AT ZEGNA
As Staff Accountant, based in New York, you will bring your expertise to the Finance team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for ZEGNA and Thom Browne.
You'll work closely with the Senior Manager, Accounting, and other business leaders to drive transparency, compliance, and efficiency across financial operations.
HOW YOU BRING IT TO LIFE
Here's how you'll bring this role to life each day - making it your own and shaping it with your unique talents and expertise:
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for U.S. and Canada entities and resolve all reconciling items timely and ensure all the transitory accounts are fully cleared by end of the month.
  • Prepare and maintain cash on hand reconciliations in compliance with SOX requirements and investigate discrepancies and proactive follow up with retail stores to resolve
  • weekly payroll uploads, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and complete the payroll SOX control by working with HR.
  • Complete monthly liquidation submissions for US & CA in BPC, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines set by HQ
  • Prepare and post journal entrieswith appropriate supporting documentation
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, supporting SOX compliance and audit requests.
  • Partner with management on ad hoc projects, providing financial insight and recommendations.
  • Document processes, track audit findings, and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.
WHO YOU ARE

  • You bring at least 2 years of experience in accounting or audit, ideally within public accounting, retail, fashion, or consumer goods.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • You're skilled in Excel (SAP experience is a plus).
  • You're detail-oriented, organized, and known for your analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments where accuracy, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration are key.
