We are an Italian market with grocery and hospitality services looking for a full-time Manager. We are looking for a motivated, outgoing, polite, dedicated, and passionate person who cares about their work quality and likes interacting with customers.
This fast-paced, on-your-feet, fun job requires lots of personality and a great attitude to create fantastic customer service. We offer great hours, flexible schedules, a relaxed atmosphere, and a genuine family feel. Compensation will be based on experience.
Responsibilities include administrative duties such as preparing monthly work schedules, managing daily/weekly inventory needs, and some HR duties like implementing and conducting new employee training. Candidates will also work on the product side through the setup of merchandising and oversight of our various samples.
Tasks for which you will assume responsibility:
  • Manage inventory
  • Execute inventory accounting twice a year
  • Ensure suppliers conform to specifications and quality standards
  • Ensure proper product rotation, manage code-date products and vendor returns
  • Able to execute resets in all departments
  • Execute and maintain store displays

• Provide premier customer service, including greeting and responding to questions.
• Enthusiastically sample and sell products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions.
• Filling, maintaining and rotating products and displays.
• Increase sales in department.
• Conduct new employee training
• Maintain Glorioso's high standards for product freshness and sanitation.
• Comply with all regulatory rules and regulations including safety, weights and measures, and food sanitation guidelines.
• Assisting in other duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous Managerial experience required
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule will include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITHIN A GROCERY/FOOD ENVIRONMENT
  • Possess great communication skills to easily and comfortably work with vendors, staff, management and customers with professionalism and respect.
  • Sets work priorities to complete work on time.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify problems or opportunity areas and contributes to plans for improvement.
  • Time management skills - Must be able to prioritize and be able to multi-task while maintaining efficiency and flexibility.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Glorioso's Italian Market, is a 77-year-old, well-established family Italian grocery store located on the lower East Side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The store is primarily an Italian Grocery and Delicatessen, with a reputation for Italian and Specialty Foods that reaches from coast to coast. The store includes Milwaukee's #1 delicatessen, prepared fresh to go foods, catering, coffee service, bakery, cheese, wine, and spirits.
