Description
The Material Handler supports Operations in the movement of material and supplies. The Material Handler receives and issues parts/components to/from the manufacturing floor, properly identifies material, is accountable for its accuracy in stock locations and ensures the availability of production material for the assigned programs. The Material Handler inventories material from Receiving or the manufacturing floor before it goes back to stock.
Available Shifts:
Weekend Nights: Friday-Sunday: 5:00pm-5:30am ( + $3 shift differential)
Essential Functions:
โ€ข Performs all functions of the Material Handler role within in the company guidelines of safety
โ€ข Maintains a level of quality that is acceptable at all levels of the organization
โ€ข Participates in the adherence of productivity levels for the multiple areas of manufacturing that they support
โ€ข Unloading of inbound shipments and loading outbound shipments
โ€ข Pull parts from stock to build orders assigned to the manufacturing floor
โ€ข Receives/Pop Backfills finished product by transacting the appropriate manufacturing orders
โ€ข Fill and account for material requisitions submitted by the manufacturing floor
โ€ข Placing hardware/beams into stock from receiving/production floor
โ€ข Ensures the correct balances are maintained by the performance of Cycle Counts
โ€ข Ensures proper forklift charging policies are being followed and operator logs are completed daily
โ€ข Removes trash and recycling from the building
โ€ข Supports the Mission of the organization and adheres to all company policies
โ€ข Performs other duties as directed
Position Qualifications:
โ€ข High school Diploma or GED; 2+ years of shipping or receiving experience in materials/warehouse.
โ€ข Must have strong ability to identify components.
โ€ข Effective multi-tasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required.
โ€ข Effective organization and prioritization skills
โ€ข Effective interpersonal skills
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills
โ€ข Previous use of RF scanners preferred.
โ€ข Possesses basic math and computer skills.
โ€ข Previous inventory and forklift experience required.
โ€ข Must be self-driven to complete tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.
โ€ข Attention to detail.
โ€ข Strong emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity
