Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Telecom Facility Project Manager for a contract position with a Major Utility Company located in Milwaukee, WI. Compensation: $85.00 - 90.00 per hour, W2 Position Overview: The IT Telecom Facility Project Manager role blends telecom and construction/facilities project management skills. This position will support network telecommunications leadership, project controls, and financial staff while coordinating with facility management project managers overseeing initiatives that require IT and telecom infrastructure. The goal of this role is to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with defined scope and objectives. Key Responsibilities: Manage delivery and cost schedules for 1–15 concurrent projects Provide regular progress reporting to team members, stakeholders, and clients Negotiate schedules and resolve delivery delays Create and manage project time cards Enforce job site safety protocols Coordinate and lead project meetings, review status, and escalate issues for corrective action Identify and escalate project risks/issues as appropriate Submit purchase order requisitions and confirm deliveries for invoicing Escalate issues to project controls when needed Manage internal coordination of change management (IT CAB), alignment verification, network infrastructure installation, and site equipment turn-up and acceptance testing Coordinate/monitor 3rd party vendor performance and report status Identify permitting needs using internal and external resources Primary Requirements: Ability to read and understand facility drawings Proficiency with Microsoft Project/PWA Experience with budgets, forecasts, and accruals Ability to manage and define 3rd-party vendor scope of work Contract bidding and negotiation experience Strong background in managing project financials: actuals, invoice reconciliation, and variance analysis Knowledge of project management principles Experience with construction purchasing, standards, and designs Understanding of network infrastructure Desired Skills: 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Project/PWA, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, 3rd-party vendor management, and contract bidding/negotiations 5+ years of experience with project management principles and construction purchasing, standards, and designs Experience reading facilities and floor plan schematics Knowledge of ordering/installation of radio, network, antenna, and line equipment Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
