As an IT department Technical Lead, will play a pivotal role in spearheading software development initiatives, fostering innovation, and ensuring the success of our technical projects. Leadership will be integral in achieving our business objectives, enhancing our software products, and ensuring a seamless collaboration among team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team, work on exciting projects, and grow in a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams, setting high standards for software design, coding, testing, build, deployment, and operations.
  • Define, design, and deliver technical improvements and capabilities based on technical debt identification, strategic architectural direction, and business needs.
  • Write high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code.
  • Bring extensive software development experience to the team, staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, guiding the team in adopting innovative solutions and maintaining technical excellence.
  • Implement and uphold software development standards and quality assurance processes to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects and senior developers to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient software solutions.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and other technical teams to define and deliver solutions.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and to improve other team members.
  • Assist with estimation of responsible technical area and applications.
  • Assist in resolving complex technical challenges and provide guidance to team members.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize Java, .NET, PowerBuilder applications for maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions into the business process.
  • Creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and deployment guides.
Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor's DegreeMajor: Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering

  • Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
  • Master's degree preferred

Job-Related Experience

  • 8+ years software development experience.
  • Proven experience in .NET or Java development, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in version control systems. (e.g.: Git)
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies.
