MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. New York State Teaching Assistant certification
  2. Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
  3. Classroom experience preferred
  4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable

MAJOR DUTIES
  1. Work with individual students or groups of students on assigned instructional work; differentiating as needed;
  2. Organize assigned work to insure its completion;
  3. Assist pupils in the use of available instructional resources;
  4. Keep teachers and administrators informed about student progress;
  5. Assist classroom teachers with curriculum delivered to students;
  6. Assist in other instructional work as required;
  7. Implement positive strategies for Social and Emotional Learning in the classroom;
  8. Other responsibilities as designated by the principal.
