Location: Flower Mound, TX

Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 20 hours/week

Ideal Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM CT

Duration: 4-Month Contract

Work Arrangement: Onsite, with IT support having Remote flexibility


The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and doesn't mind getting involved in the operational side of technology.

This role is a great fit for someone with a background in IT support, desktop support, asset management, or hardware deployment who is comfortable moving between inventory and warehouse-related activities and traditional IT support.

Candidates should be flexible, organized, dependable, and willing to step in wherever the IT team needs additional support.


Position Overview

Our client, a growing logistics organization, is seeking a Part-Time IT Asset Management / Help Desk Support Contractor for a 4-month engagement during a peak operating period.

This is a hands-on role supporting the management and distribution of approximately 1,500 IT scanners and other technology assets used throughout the company’s warehouse and logistics operations.

The position will work closely with the existing IT Asset Management team to support inventory tracking, shipping and receiving, device deployment, repairs, and returns. When asset management responsibilities are covered, the contractor will also provide basic IT/help desk support to end users and assist the IT team as needed.

The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where responsibilities may shift between physical IT asset management and end-user support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day management and tracking of IT scanners and other technology assets.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and asset records.
  • Tag, prepare, package, ship, receive, and deploy IT devices.
  • Coordinate the collection and return of devices requiring repair or replacement.
  • Assist with preparing and distributing large quantities of scanners ahead of peak operating periods.
  • Provide onsite support at the local warehouse for device-related needs.
  • Serve as backup support to the primary IT Asset Management resource.
  • Provide basic help desk and end-user support as workload permits.
  • Assist with troubleshooting common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Help coordinate with remote help desk resources when needed.
  • Provide additional IT support during planned team absences or periods of increased demand.
  • Follow established IT asset management, inventory, and support procedures.
  • Take on additional hands-on IT responsibilities based on business needs.


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, IT asset management, or a related field.
  • Experience tracking, managing, or deploying IT hardware is preferred.
  • Comfortable working with physical technology inventory, shipping/receiving, and device deployment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established processes.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in Flower Mound, TX.
  • Help desk or end-user support experience is a plus.


This is a 4-month, part-time contract requiring approximately 20 hours per week, with an ideal schedule of 10:00 AM–2:00 PM CT, Monday through Friday.
