To thrive as an IT Strategist, you need a robust understanding of IT infrastructure, business analysis, and strategic planning, often supported by a degree in information technology or computer science. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF), project management tools, and IT governance standards like ITIL is highly valued. An IT Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing technology strategies that align with an organization's goals. They assess current IT systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and advise on new technologies to enhance efficiency, security, and competitiveness. IT Strategists often work closely with business leaders to ensure that technology investments support long-term business objectives. Their role involves both technical expertise and strong business acumen.

How does an IT Strategist typically collaborate with other departments to align technology initiatives with business goals?

IT Strategists work closely with leaders from finance, operations, marketing, and other departments to ensure technology strategies directly support overall business objectives.
