Travel may include weekday and weekend assignments, overnight stays, and extended periods at customer facilities during equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and service activities.**Job Description:*** Perform onsite field service activities at customer locations, including installation, startup, troubleshooting, repair, and training activities requiring approximately 85% travel.* Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.* Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.* Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.* Realigns and adjusts components.* Start-up and debug of equipment to test operation following repair/installation.* Installs and troubleshoots electrical components* Understands PLCs/ladder logic.* Can make software changes on a limited basis* Provides training to customers on proper maintenance and operation of equipment.**Supervisory Responsibilities:*** Must have skills to successfully oversee others should those needs arise on a service call.* When appointed Lead Technician for a service call, the Technician will be responsible for the supervision of Shuttleworth personnel onsite and project coordination with the customer contact.* Technicians are also responsible for overseeing/directing work performed by the customer's personnel as well as subcontractors.**Does this sounds like you?*** High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Must be willing and able to travel approximately **85% of the time** and maintain a valid driver's license and passport, or be eligible to obtain a passport.* Must have the ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics and ladder logic.* Ability to troubleshoot electrical wiring and ladder logic programs.* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.**What’s in it for you?**There's no monopoly on good ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
