IT Technical Project Manager/Business Analyst

Indianapolis IN- Hybrid

Vital Records project focused on improving productivity and documenting system enhancement for potential enhancements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both project management and business analysis, capable of driving projects to successful completion and optimizing business operations. Candidate will act as a key liaison between stakeholders and project teams, ensuring that business objectives are met with effective and efficient solutions. Candidate will spend a significant amount of their time with stakeholders providing technical leadership to ensure that business requirements are being identified and met in a timely manner. Candidate must have the capacity to learn and support a wide range of system functionality. The candidate must also be articulate, passionate about helping users, and be an enthusiastic self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Individual must be a team player willing to do what is needed to get the job done.

Essential Duties/Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation.
  • Lead and/or participate in requirements gathering and analysis sessions with clients to determine project requirements
  • Guides and facilitates stakeholders in defining and documenting project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables
  • Independently manages assigned projects to ensure outcomes match agreed upon customer expectations and outcomes.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and collaboratively with technical teams to identify and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal resources and other stakeholders for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Manages relationship with vendor/service-providers and drives them to meet their commitments
  • Exhibit excellent communication & interpersonal skills, and the ability to work and lead effectively in a team environment.
  • Master's new technologies and deliver quality products within short time frames.
  • Serve as the technical lead for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to drive timely completion of IT projects.
  • Lead project team status meetings to ensure the project milestones are met and dependencies are tracked.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and automation.
  • Perform post-implementation reviews to ensure goals were met and identify lessons learned.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of complex IT projects and/or programs from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within budget, scope, and schedule constraints.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular project status reports to stakeholders, including project health, risks, and issues.
  • Manage project risks and issues, identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks and providing solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage project scope changes and ensure that they are documented, reviewed, and approved by stakeholders.
  • Create, manage, and maintain the project schedule, from initial creation throughout entire project life cycle.
  • Create and maintain all forms of project documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Compile accurate and timely daily/weekly project status reports.
  • Ensure IT systems and workflows are well-documented for future reference.
  • Participate in QA and UAT planning and execution.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and address immediate technical needs as they arise.

Desired Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management/business analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies is required
  • Project management and coordination skills for leading and supporting multiple interdepartmental projects and initiatives
  • Capable of providing gap analysis and needs assessments to uncover business needs.
  • Experience building user stories and use cases
  • Strong experience leading, facilitating and motivating teams for small to medium IT projects required
  • Strong understanding and experience working with business units in achieving their goals required
  • Ability to identify business and information needs, uncovering areas for improvement, develop appropriate business solutions, while working closely with internal developers, business teams and/or vendors on developing and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships, communicate clearly, and collaborate with people across the organization; ability to manage projects to successful conclusion.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing vendor relations and partnerships within the project lifecycle.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills required
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization required
  • Understanding of IT systems and processes, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing projects in order to propose effective alternatives to resolve end user concerns.
  • Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management practices and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to change, to move between projects easily and provide support/expertise where needed
  • Assist with quality assurance procedures to ensure that requirements were met, or that specified changes were correctly implemented.
  • Ability to assist in the development of comprehensive test cases at the application and multi-application levels. Assisting with end-user testing responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of different testing methods, test cases, test scripts, automated testing, and other aspects of testing
  • Proven ability to self-manage and complete deliverables.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare enterprise systems with the ability to understand and communicate from a business and technical perspective.
