Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Shipboard Project Manager in Miramar, FL (Florida). The Project Manager will communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership through meetings and presentations.
Summary:
The IT Shipboard Project Manager is responsible for planning and delivering large-scale shipboard IT initiatives. Reporting to the Program Manager, this role will primarily focus on project planning activities but may also be assigned to manage Dry Dock deployments when needed. When supporting Dry Dock initiatives, the Project Manager will oversee the planning and delivery of all assigned IT-related scopes.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Managing projects from initiation through handoff to the Deployment Team
* Coordinating cross-functional teams, defining and managing scope
* Validating budgets
* Supporting procurement efforts
* Facilitating design reviews, and ensuring alignment with IT strategy
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of Project Management experience
* Experience managing large, complex projects
* Experience with procurement and vendor management
* IT Networking project experience
* Strong understanding of waterfall project methodology
* Knowledge of enterprise technologies and their business applications
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to lead issue resolution and drive projects to completion
* Willingness to travel
* Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP Certification
* Shipboard or maritime project experience
* Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools
* Strong problem-solving and team leadership skills
* Experience coaching teams and fostering a positive IT culture
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
