IDEALFORCE has a CONTRACT position available immediately for IT Project to join our customer in Phoenix Arizona. This is an ONSITE position. Please find below additional details about this job. Client prefers LOCAL CANDIDATES are considered for this role. There is a possibility for this role to become full time after 6 months.

Job Description

The IT Project Manager contract position will manage planning, development, organization, and implementation of multiple IT projects concurrently. These projects impact many business functions and require work and coordination of multiple internal and external customers with diverse requirements. Projects will come from a host of areas including mainframe, open systems, networking, digital government, telecommunications, application development, etc. and will involve operational and strategic initiatives for the Client.  

- Manages planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and administration of multiple projects and project teams  
- Develops project charters, schedules and financial, staff and communication plans 
- Leads teams to assure thorough requirements definition 
- Monitors project activities and resources to assure project completion, to mitigate risk and to balance competing priorities among multiple projects 
- Manages team and customer meetings; develops and conducts project briefings 
- Responsible for project status reporting to multiple audiences - team members, customers, line managers and executive sponsors

Qualifications


 Associates or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Six (6) years of related work experience with three (3) in a project manager, project administrator or project lead (multiple projects) capacity
- PMP or similar credential preferred (not required)
- Strong project management skills (i.e., waterfall, agile and other methodologies)
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Strong analytical, planning and organization skills 
- Strong customer (internal; external) service skills 
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix management organization 
- Ability to lead technical and business teams 
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, risks and mitigation strategies
