IT Project Manager – Microsoft Teams & Cross-Functional Initiatives

Type: Long-term Contract (potential for conversion)

Location: Glendale, AZ

Work Setting: Onsite


CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead Microsoft Teams initiatives and other cross-functional technology projects within a public-sector environment. This role will coordinate technical teams, business departments, vendors, and leadership to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.


Responsibilities

  • Lead Microsoft Teams initiatives and related technology projects involving multiple departments and technical teams.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, resource assignments, and delivery milestones.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across infrastructure, applications, security, communications, and business teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects based on organizational priorities and urgency.
  • Provide clear project status, budget, risk, issue, and milestone updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaborate with vendor implementation teams on software configuration, customization, deployment, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare or review RFPs, bid specifications, contracts, change orders, and vendor evaluation materials.
  • Assess completed solutions to confirm they meet business needs and user requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and support established PMO standards and governance processes.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in IT project management, systems analysis, technology implementation, or related areas.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, collaboration technology, or enterprise communications initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the system development lifecycle and technology implementation processes.
  • Experience working within a PMO or structured project governance environment.
  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, resources, vendors, risks, issues, and competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
  • Experience delivering projects involving applications, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
  • Public-sector, municipal, or government project experience is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.


Certification Requirements

  • Must obtain Arizona Criminal Justice Information System Terminal Operator Certification – Level D within one month of hire.
  • Must obtain Project Management Professional certification within 12 months of hire.
