*Seeking an experienced and motivated information technology (IT) Project Manager to oversee different initiatives or projects, monitor their progress and completion, and ensure clients' expectations are met. Phoenix currently has one opening for an IT Project Manager to join the Project Management Office (PMO) division. The PMO is a team of highly dedicated professionals in business analysis, IT project managers, IT product managers, and program and portfolio managers.
*To be a successful candidate, you must have proven experience in IT Project Management, including implementing enterprise-level, multi-year technology initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses diplomacy, command control of the project, and high emotional intelligence to juggle multiple stakeholders. Project managers are integral to the modernization initiatives..
*The IT Project Manager would lead projects for critical initiatives such as Enterprise system upgrades, Data Center Modernization efforts, software implementations, and other innovative projects.
KEY JOB DUTIES:
• Define the project by performing a complex analysis.
• Adherence to the Governance process by engaging stakeholders, preparing status reports and briefings.
• Conduct project planning exercises to prepare project budget, procurement, and resources.
• Vendor Management tasks, including deliverable acceptance, milestone payment, contract adherence, and escalations.
• Budget Management and tracking.
• Create, track, and deliver project timelines, tasks, and metrics.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Recent large-scale Asset Management systems experience with upgrades or conversions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflict.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) both certifications is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven (7) or more years as project lead with responsible experience in software applications analysis projects, implementations, interface redesign, testing, and change management across multiple software subsystems.
• Recent large-scale Asset Management systems experience with upgrades or conversion.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• All position finalists are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
• Ability to be on-site as required by the project needs and project team activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) both certifications is required.
• Master's degree in business/public administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in IT program or project management.
• Experience leading IT project management teams.
• Experience with vendor management.
• Experience with software implementation/upgrade.
