Reporting to the Director, ERP Systems, we're looking for someone who will assist the Project Managers for projects by coordinating, planning, communicating and executing the delivery of core IT projects. These projects will typically be implementation of new software, upgrade of existing software, onboarding of new entities because of M&A activity and rolling out infrastructure solutions.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assist the Project Manager with project scheduling, including action item tracking
  • Manage smaller projects related to M&A activities, branch moves, software tool rollouts, and minor hardware/network upgrades
  • Monitoring and managing completion of SOWs by internal staff and external vendors and assisting with obtaining quotes from subcontractors
  • Document management for PMO artifacts as well as any quote, invoices, etc. related to projects
  • Capture the definition and approval of project budget, scope, and deliverables
  • Preparation of communications, progress reporting and meeting agendas and minutes
  • Enforce project adherence to internal quality standards, processes, tools, and documentation
  • Actively support business analysis activities to ensure projects and technical solutions meet business objectives
  • Work with the Project Manager to develop and manage detailed work plans (often with many interrelated paths), project schedules, estimates and resource plans in conjunction with project team members and other involved business and IT teams
  • Work with the Project Manager to plan and manage project resources and conduct periodic project quality audits.
  • Track and manage project issues through to successful resolutions

What We Are Seeking:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years related experience working on IT projects with a strong interest in developing the project management skill set
  • Experience working on IT projects and an interest in project analysis and processes
  • Experience in defect tracking tools (such as JIRA), content management tools (such as Confluence), project management and time tracking tools
  • Knowledge of/experience in Agile practices (i.e. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to understand complex architectural, networking and software issues
  • Prior experience in IT service delivery an asset
  • Adaptability to effectively deal with continually changing circumstances and priorities
  • Good detail orientation, effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to deal with employees confidently and professionally at all levels of the organization.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or similar certification will be an asset
