Title: Sr. IT Project Manager

About the Role:
We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Sr. IT Project Manager to lead and manage a wide variety of IT projects from conceptual design through implementation. You must possess organizational skills, leadership capability, and communication skills to succeed in this role. You will coordinate with internal delivery teams and vendors as we design, develop, deploy, and support internal custom solutions and third-party platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with various project management methodologies and a proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects supporting digital and organizational transformation programs and operating in a highly regulated, multi-state environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Drive key components of our organization's digital transformation program, ensuring alignment with strategic business and technology objectives
  • Lead multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through completion
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality
  • Apply appropriate methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) based on project requirements
  • Facilitate key project meetings and steering committee updates, managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships across IT, the business and external partners
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise executive and steering committee reporting, including RAG status, milestone tracking, and risk visibility
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization
  • Monitor project progress and report on milestones and deliverables
  • Resolve team impediments and collaborate with other Project Managers/Scrum Masters
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors
  • Mentor junior project managers and provide team leadership

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years IT project management experience with large, distributed teams
  • PMI-PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications
  • Expert knowledge of project methodologies and frameworks (PMBOK, Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
  • Experience leading projects within digital transformation initiatives or significant organizational change programs
  • Experience with Azure DevOps suite or equivalent tool set
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow SPM / CWM, MS Project, MS Project Web App and Office 365 suite
  • Proficient understanding of SDLC with focus on agility, quality, and security
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, timeline, and budget
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, SOWs, and third-party delivery teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating within a regulated industry (e.g., cannabis, pharmaceutical, healthcare, CPG) with familiarity managing regulatory, GxP, or multi-state compliance requirements within IT projects
  • Experience with data privacy and security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) as applied to project delivery
  • Experience operating within a formal PMO governance model with defined phase gates and executive steering committees
