Job description

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an IT Specialist to join our expanding and fast-paced Kansas City office. Candidates must be responsible, able to multi-task, possess the ability to continuously build and improve IT knowledge; have excellent technical and interpersonal skills; have a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving and a keen sense of organization. We are looking for self-disciplined candidates with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with IT Staff and IT consultants to maintain proper function of the firm's technology systems and environment
  • Follow company IT security protocols and assist in maintaining network integrity and compliance standards
  • Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Log, track, and resolve tickets using help desk software; escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary.
  • Ensure timely notification to users on system changes and system outages
  • Assist with setup and deployment of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, conference room equipment, and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist with planned expansion

  • Proficient in basic network cabling tasks, such as creating patch cables and installing structured cabling.

Compensation & Work Schedule
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week
  • This position is based at our downtown Kansas City office and will spend significant time at our Overland Park office.
