Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Communicating up and down the stack -interacting with executives, technical teams, and business stakeholders
  • Leading the planning and structuring for tech delivery efforts to streamline capabilities and tools needed to support the department in delivering value
  • Support the assessment of project scope and effort to plan milestones, develop effective schedules and change management plans, manage risks, remove impediments, and ensure proactive communication occurs regularly as initiatives progress
  • Build and develop effective relationships with different IT and product teams to find opportunities to increase business value while modernizing our processes
  • Think out of the box to deliver value quickly while managing costs
  • Document and conduct presentations for technical, business and leadership audiences to promote department strategies and communicate progress
  • Support the Technology Delivery & Transformation group in planning initiatives across goals, KRs, KPIs etc. as it relates to organizational goals
  • Assist with change management activities for the team and beyond
  • Champion the financials of assigned programs/projects, yearly budget, and ongoing financial planning
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and driving operational efficiency within the portfolio and department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing technology project or agile teams using a variety of supporting technologies and leveraging various work management tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different levels of hierarchy
  • Strong understanding of portfolio and program management, as well as agile team practices with strong demonstration of essential supporting soft skills
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project/program plans, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive consensus and manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to Identify and understand technical dependencies between initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in technology project/program/portfolio leadership roles required
  • Financial services industry experience preferred

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or additional equivalent work or military experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Scrum Master Certification preferred
