Job description

Position Overview

The IT Product Manager will be responsible for identifying IT product solutions that meet the end to end business objectives either through the full product or specific features, defining success criteria and rallying the business owners to successful implementation of these solutions.

Scope of Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the product vision
  • Aligning stakeholders to product vision
  • Understanding and representing the product user experience through research and practical application
  • Aligning stakeholders with the product incremental delivery
  • Prioritizing product features and minimize technical debt
  • Defining success criteria for products and features with the business areas
  • Coordinating and empowering teams to be self-sufficient
  • Monitoring changes in industry related to their product portfolio and developing competitive analysis
  • Create stories and tasks, and assign them to the team
  • Create and maintain the IT product knowledgebase
  • Train new staff and existing staff on changes to the product
  • Test product and feature modifications aligned to the end-to-end user experience
  • Collaborate with vendors to fix errors and enable product enhancements
  • Liaison between the business areas and IT department relating to the product portfolio
  • Understand the business interaction/use of the product and how it’s supported by IT

Required Education, Training & Professional Experience

  • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university; and
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in IT product management within the healthcare industry supporting either membership & enrollment, providers, claims, call center, sales, or care management
  • Prior supervisory experience a plus
