RACTSOL Corp is seeking a System Administrator Level 1 to support the reliable operation of client and internal IT environments. Requires Top Secret Clearance w FS Poly.

Position Summary

The System Administrator Level 1 - FMNK will assist with the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of core IT systems to ensure stability, performance, and security. This role supports daily operational activities while learning and applying best practices to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.

Working onsite in Columbia, MD, you will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain uptime, address service requests, and help ensure systems are provisioned and managed consistently and securely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor system health and performance, escalating issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.

  • Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems and supporting infrastructure components.

  • Perform routine updates, patches, and system maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures.

  • Support troubleshooting of hardware, operating system, and connectivity problems to restore services efficiently.

  • Document system changes, resolutions, and operational procedures to maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Linux-based environments in an operational or support capacity.

  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, routing concepts) and basic connectivity troubleshooting.
