Job description

Our client is a growing transportation and logistics organization seeking a Sales Operations Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a freight brokerage professional who enjoys developing business, building relationships, negotiating rates, and managing shipments from start to finish.
This role can be based anywhere in Alberta, Manitoba or Saskatchewan and work from a home office.
What You'll Do:
  • Generate new business opportunities and grow a portfolio of transportation customers
  • Source carriers and negotiate competitive rates for TL and LTL freight
  • Manage shipments through the full cradle-to-grave process, including booking, dispatching, tracking, and delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carrier partners
  • Proactively resolve service issues and provide customers with timely shipment updates
  • Maintain accurate load information, documentation, and tracking within the TMS
  • Partner with accounting to ensure accurate billing and supporting documentation
  • Achieve performance targets related to load volume, gross margin, and customer satisfaction
What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years of freight brokerage, 3PL, transportation sales, or logistics experience
  • Strong exisiting carrier network and relationships
  • Experience managing cradle-to-grave shipments
  • Sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Existing book of business considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. transportation markets and carrier networks
  • Experience using load boards and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
