The selected candidate will design, develop, and implement end-to-end IT and network architectures to meet facility-wide operational needs. The IT Specialist will apply strong technical and problem-solving skills to commission, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of computing, video-conference, and networking systems. This role requires a versatile professional who has hands-on experience with fiber networking and switch configuration, as well as the ability to coordinate with vendors on equipment quotes, procurement, and installation to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Working as part of a collaborative team, this role will provide IT support across the campus and ensure efficient operations that support mission-critical activities.Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with POLYKey Responsibilities:IT Infrastructure & Network Support· Install, configure, and maintain IT and network equipment across user workspaces and network/DEMARC rooms· Perform Tier 1 system administration for enterprise networks, connectivity, and associated equipment· Support and resolve complex break/fix issues both in person and remotely· Install and decommission CAT6 and fiber cabling (LC/SC), including underfloor and above-ceiling runs· Provide input on LAN/WAN design, architecture, and installation standards following best practices· Set up and support A/V systems including Extron, AMX, and Crestron technologies· Respond promptly to support requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution· Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records to prevent damage and loss· Support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracyCross-Functional Responsibilities· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders to determine IT and logistics needs for meetings, projects, and deployments· Participate in engineering review boards (ERB) and technical discussions· Manage vendor relationships and project coordination for both IT equipment and logistics operations· Support facility safety requirements and report potential hazards· Follow security guidelines related to material handling, equipment movement, and IT asset managementSalary & BenefitsThe salary associated with this position ($64,000-$128,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
